SHAWN KATTERMAN

Research Interests:Shawn is a fourth year doctoral student in Drexel’s clinical psychology program and is currently
completing her pre-doctoral internship in the Heath Psychology Track at Rush University Medical Center
in Chicago. She grew up in Waterford, Michigan and received a B.S. in Psychology in June of 2007 from
Michigan State University. Her research interests include the development and dissemination of weight
control programs and the application of acceptance and mindfulness-based treatments for health
behavior change. Her Master’s thesis examined daily weight monitoring as a method of weight gain
prevention and her dissertation examined an acceptance-based behavioral program for weight control
in college females. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, reading, yoga, Michigan State sports,
and trying new BYOBs.
